Powers

• Immortality: Like most other Fables, he is unaging and very difficult to kill. This is allegedly based on the popularity of their tales.
• Superhuman Durability: As one of the Fables whose story is practically common knowledge to the mundies, Prince Charming is afforded enhanced durability. Due to being a rather popular Fable, Prince Charming was able to fully recover from being caught within the blast of a large bomb.

Abilities

• Incredibly Persuasive: Theories both on and off the page speculate that Prince Charmin gives off powerful/magic pheromones, which are responsible for his strong ability to seduce nearly any woman he wishes. According to the answers given in the Burning Questions issue, Prince Charming had no less than 1,412 romantic conquests by the age of fifteen. He stated that he is able to win any courtship, be it that of a single woman, or a political election.
• Proficent Statesman and Investigator: During Snow White’s revenge against the Seven Dwarves he proves himself to be quite a competent statesman and investigator and before the story began he had successfully averted a war between dwarves and humans. He also found out about Snow’s actions, but ultimately kept silent because of his love for her.
• Cunning: While Charming’s most capable weapon is his sword there are times when he’s shown a genuinely cunning streak. When Snow exacts her revenge on the Seven Dwarves, the Dwarf King threatened war should Charming not find the culprit. Eventually Charming learns of Snow’s actions (having trained her with a sword and witnessed the gradual killings of the dwarves getting more professional in accordance to her skill level) but ultimately pulls a gambit wherein he frames and executes one of the kingdom’s most notorious murderers and sends his head to the Dwarf King claiming he was the Dwarf killer. He successfully averted a war but chose not to pursue the matter further with Snow in an effort to let her have her secrets. Charming was the mastermind behind Boy Blue’s secret invasion of the Homelands, which resulted in the acquisition of huge amounts of useful intelligence and Imperial secrets.
• Excellent Swordsmanship: Prince Charming is also quite the accomplished swordsman and has superb fencing skills.

Personality

King Harold was best described as stubborn and reluctant to change. Despite this, he loved his daughter dearly and wanted the best for her.

At first, he highly opposed the marriage of Shrek and his daughter Princess Fiona. He even went as far as employing an assassin (Puss in Boots) to murder Shrek after the Fairy Godmother told him to do so, to allow the good-looking Prince Charming to take the throne next to Fiona. This was most likely done because Harold truly believed that Shrek was ruining Fiona’s life and that she would have been better off with Prince Charming. Eventually, Harold owed Shrek an apology for being rude to him, stopped the Fairy Godmother from harming Shrek, and gave both Shrek and Fiona his blessing at the ending of Shrek 2.

Before he passed away, he owed Fiona an apology for locking her in the tower years ago and admitted that her and Shrek’s eternal love for one another taught him a lot. He even proudly called Shrek his son-in-law, to which Shrek replied that he was proud to call Harold his father-in-law.

It seems that Harold also felt frightened of Fiona finding out that he was a frog, since Shrek being an ogre most likely reminded him of his original form and gave the ogre grief because of it (as Donkey points out). When his true form was revealed, he felt guilty of his daughter finding out who he truly was and believed he wasn’t worthy of Lillian any longer. Lillian, however, reassured her love for him because of how much he was ready to give of himself to make Fiona satisfied.

Description

Rapunzel is a very beautiful fair-skinned princess with very long blonde hair (which is later revealed to be a wig near the end of the movie) that has some of her hair tied up in a very high updo on top of her head which is wrapped with a thick braid which flows down from the very top, she wears a tiara on the lowest level of her updo. (she does not have any visible accessories, flowers or other decorations in her hair) and light green eyes.

Her initial outfit consists of a long golden dress with red stripes on the sleeves and skirt, a gold necklace with a flower pendant around her neck and red studded butterfly earrings.

For Charming’s performance, her outfit is fairly altered; she now wears a golden square-neck dress with orange swirled patterns and a small emblem of the castle on the bodice.

Shrek the Third[]

Charming later returns in Shrek the Third, this time as the main antagonist. He is first seen in a theater, playing himself due to his name. However, despite being the hero in his own play (which appears to be a spoof on the classic fairy tale, Rapunzel), the audience cheers when the «Shrek» Mascot comes onstage, along with Shrek’s friends, who are there watching the show. Finally (in a version of a Buster Keaton gag), a prop tower falls on Charming, but he escapes injury as the window passes around him. Charming leaves the theater upset and goes to his «dressing room» (in reality, the back alley behind the bar) and starts sobbing at his misfortune. There, Charming vows to his mother (whom he has a picture of) that he will become the king of Far Far Away and kill Shrek to avenge her death.

Later, after seeing King Harold’s funeral, Prince Charming goes to the Poison Apple and organizes an army of villains — Rumpelstiltskin, Captain Hook, Stromboli, Headless Horseman, Evil Trees and Witches — all upset that they haven’t gotten their «Happily Ever After» and encourages them to help him in his plans of revenge.

While Shrek, Donkey, and Puss are in search of the heir to the kingdom, Fiona’s cousin Artie, Charming and his new friends attack the castle. When Charming sees Wolf, Gingy, Pinocchio, and The Three Little Pigs, he demands to know where Shrek is. They deny knowing anything, then Charming orders them to corporate with him, because he will be the new king of Far Far Away. Gingy states the only thing he’ll be king of is King of ‘Stupid’. Then Captain Hook demands Gingy tell him where Shrek has gone, Gingy goes into a dream. Charming then asks Pinocchio about Shrek’s whereabouts, knowing he can’t lie. So Pinocchio told Charming a twisted up version of the truth while trying not to tell the truth but trying not to lie at the same time, something that confused everyone. One pig couldn’t take it any longer and told Charming that Shrek was out bringing back the new heir. Charming then orders Hook to kill the new heir and bring Shrek back alive so he can kill him himself.

Later Charming is seen again when his new girlfriend Rapunzel who brings Fiona and her princess friends to Charming who has then imprisoned.

After Shrek, Donkey and Puss return to Far Far Away with Artie (thanks to Merlin), Charming is seen getting ready for a show where he plans to kill Shrek in front of the whole kingdom, when Shrek confronts him in the dressing room and demands to know where Fiona is. Charming then summons his soldiers to come capture Shrek, Donkey, Puss and Artie. Charming prepares to kill Arthur when Shrek tells him to spare Artie, stating that he is the one Harold wanted to be king first and Artie is just a pawn. Charming spares Artie but has Shrek restrained with chains and Donkey and Puss (who had switched bodies) imprisoned with Fiona.

Charming then begins the plan and soon places Shrek in the play, now being performed in an auditorium before the entire kingdom. After being brought on stage, Shrek begins to ruin it for Charming by insulting him, making everyone laugh. As Charming is about to kill Shrek onstage with a sword, Fiona and the others burst in, getting ready to fight the villains. However, the villains overpower the hero when suddenly Artie arrives and convinces the villains to give up their evil ways, and they do so.

However, Charming refuses, and prepares to kill Artie, when suddenly Shrek breaks free of his chains and Charming stabs him instead, but (as Shrek reveals to the others) Shrek is completely unharmed; Charming (with his bad aim) merely stuck the sword between Shrek’s arm and side. Shrek then picks up Charming and Charming says «This was supposed to be MY happily ever after!» and Shrek says «I guess you need to looking because I’m not giving up mine!» and then tosses him before Dragon, who tips over the stone tower with her tail, which falls on Charming right after he says «Mommy?», defeating him. The crown then goes rolling and Artie puts his foot on it.

It is debated whether or not he survived the ordeal, as some say the empty window of the stone tower landed on him in a similar style to the cardboard tower at the beginning of the film.

Relationships

Family

He is the son of King Charming and Queen Charming and has two younger siblings, Dexter and Darling. Daring is naturally close with Dexter, his brother, and has been known to offer him encouragement and advice. However, Dexter has secret feelings that Daring is somewhat overshadowing him. Daring is also close with his sister, Darling. He helped search for her when she disappeared in «Way Too Wonderland», and Darling was the first person to notice Daring was missing when his hand mirror was left alone in «Dragon Games». Darling knows Daring well enough to be forward with him when he is vulnerable, such as when Daring realized he was not Apple’s Prince of Destiny, and Darling told him that it is time to turn the page, as some of them are not going to follow their original destinies.

According to the Ever After High books, he has numerous cousins and each set uses the same first letter in their names. The cousins are Bountiful, Beauteous, Breathtaking, and Beloved, Courageous, Cherished, Caring, and Charity, Elegant, Earnest and Errant, Fragile and Fearless. The youngest cousins seem to look up to him and during family get-togethers, he gladly plays games with them, even acting as the «slain beast». Fairest Charming is his youngest aunt, Siegfried is his oldest uncle. His grandparents are Alluring and Auspicious Charming.

Friends

Daring is close with Apple White, as they hang out together often. Daring also showed concern for Apple when she was poisoned in «Dragon Games».

Daring initially denied Cerise Hood’s request to try out for the bookball team, because he believed she was a «damsel-in-distress,» but later asked Cerise to join the Thronecoming game when they needed her. Later at the Thronecoming dance, Daring apologizes to Cerise for what he said, thanks Cerise for saving the game, and they share a dance.

Daring is also friends with most princes. Hopper Croakington II is his roommate and they get along as well, as well as his brother Dexter Charming. He and Dexter get along brotherly.

Romance

While Daring has the adoration of many girls in school and has been known to embrace this, he has shown little interest in being in a committed relationship. However, in «Lizzie Heart’s Fairytale First Date», Daring asks Lizzie Hearts out as a dare, but Daring ends up actually liking her. In A Wonderlandiful World, Daring goes to lengths to impress Lizzie and understand her riddlish sayings before being transformed by the Jabberwocky’s magic. Close to the end, Daring, now transformed into a beast cub, saves her and the other girls escape from the Jabberwocky, which later prompted Lizzie in ‘Friends would be Aces’ to accept his offer of friendship and knight him as protetor of wonderland- Though, that title would be rendered null as they’d have their memories wiped later on the chapter. In the next chapter, Daring decides to accomodate to Lizzie’s request of only being friends with pirates, which Lizzie welcomes since she feels her mother wouldn’t dissaprove of their friendship then. In Next Top Villain, Daring asks Lizzie out, but Lizzie rejects him. It is unclear what happened with their relationship, but Kitty Cheshire’s diary does reveal that Daring went to the movies with Duchess Swan after asking Lizzie out, which upset Lizzie.

Originally believing he was destined to be the next prince in Snow White, Daring did claim he was content to settle down with Apple White when the time came. She likewise finds him charming. When Apple is poisoned in «Dragon Games», it is revealed that Daring is not her Prince Charming when his kiss fails to wake her from her slumber. According to being in a two-pack in the «Epic Winter» doll line with Rosabella Beauty and turning into a beast in the TV special with the same title, his real destiny is to become Rosabella’s Beast. Both Rosabella and Daring have developed strong feelings for each other. In Rosabella and the Three Bears, it says that Daring might be Rosabella’s prince. He shows a great interest in her approval of him and seems willing to accept a destiny as the beast, looking to her as he says so which implies he wants their shared story.

Holly O’Hair and Duchess Swan have crushes on him. Farrah Goodfairy calls him charming.

Он возвращается как главный антагонист. Чарминг застрял, работая в Театре за ужин, играя себя. Однако, несмотря на то, что он является героем в собственной пьесе Чарминга (которая, как представляется, является пародией на классическую сказку «Рапунцель»), зрители приветствуют, когда талисман «Шрек» выходит на сцену. Наконец, башня опоры падает на Чарминга, но он избегает травмы, когда окно проходит вокруг него. Чарминг выходит из театра расстроенным и идет в свою «гримерку»: переулок за барной стойкой, и начинает рыдать на свою беду. Там Чарминг клянется картине своей матери, что он станет королем и убьет Шрека, чтобы отомстить за ее смерть.

Пока Шрек, Осел и Кот в сапогах находятся в поисках наследника королевства, Фиона сдерживает государственный переворот Чармингом. По возвращении Шрека его захватывает Чарминг.
Чарминг помещает Шрека в пьесу, которая исполняется в павильоне перед всем королевством. Шрек начинает разрушать его для Чарминга, выставляя его дураком. Поскольку Чарминг собирается убить Шрека на сцене, Фиона и другие ворвались, готовясь сразиться со злодеями.
